The Editing and Production Handbook is the most technical product in the collection and the one creators return to most often. It is organized around a single seven-stage workflow (ingest, organize, assemble, refine, sound, colour, deliver) and every chapter maps to one of those stages, so a creator always knows where they are in the process and what has to be true before moving on.

The Editing Workflow chapters set up the project structure, naming conventions, proxy workflows for smartphone and 4K footage, the selects pass, the assembly cut, the rough cut, the fine cut, and the picture lock. Each stage has entry and exit criteria, a time budget for short-form and long-form projects, and a review routine. The handbook is editor-agnostic in its method and specific in its practice: dedicated sections explain how to apply each stage in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and the Bamboo Bubble mobile workflow.

The Transitions chapter is a catalogue of 40 transitions and cuts (the straight cut, the J-cut and L-cut, the match cut, the whip pan, the mask transition, the speed ramp, the dissolve, the dip to black, and more) with a clear statement of what each one communicates to the viewer and when it should not be used. The Pacing chapter turns rhythm into numbers: average shot length tables by genre and platform, the

first-five-seconds structure for social video, the energy curve for a 10-minute piece, and a pacing audit worksheet for reviewing a cut.
The Audio Integration chapter covers dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, equalization, compression, music selection and editing to beat, ducking, sound effects placement, and the loudness standards creators must hit: -14 LUFS integrated for social platforms, -16 LUFS for podcast-style delivery, and the true-peak ceiling of -1 dBTP. A mixing template describes the track layout and the order of operations for a clean mix on any editor.

The Video Quality and Export chapters explain resolution, frame rate conformance, bitrate, codecs (H.264, H.265, ProRes), colour space and gamma, sharpening, and noise. The export section contains 48 export presets covering Bamboo Bubble, YouTube, Instagram Reels and Feed, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and archival masters, at 1080p and 4K, landscape and vertical, each with container, codec, bitrate, audio settings, and colour tags. A delivery QC checklist (black frames, audio sync, caption burn-in, safe margins, loudness) and keyboard shortcut sheets for the five editors complete the handbook.
