Technique gets a video watched. Story gets it finished, shared, and remembered. The Storytelling Blueprint is the craft layer of the collection: a complete method for finding an idea, shaping it into a structure, writing it as a script, and testing whether it works before anything is recorded. It is written for creators, not screenwriters, and every principle is demonstrated with examples at the lengths Bamboo Bubble creators actually publish.
Part One, Storytelling Techniques, covers the tools of attention: stakes, tension, curiosity gaps, contrast, specificity, the reveal, the callback, the button ending, and the difference between showing and telling in a visual medium. Each technique is paired with a video-length note explaining how it behaves at 30 seconds, at 3 minutes, and at 15 minutes. A chapter on the opening gives 30 hook formulas, each named, explained, and demonstrated, with guidance on matching the hook to the thumbnail and title so the promise and the payoff agree.
Part Two, Narrative Structure, presents 8 structures adapted for video: the three-act arc, the hero’s journey compressed for creators, hook-story-payoff,
problem-agitate-solve, the list with a through-line, the transformation, the mystery box, and the day-in-the-life frame. Every structure comes with a beat sheet that names each beat, states its purpose, and gives a target percentage of runtime, so a
90-second piece and a 12-minute piece can be built from the same skeleton.
Part Three, Scriptwriting, teaches a working method: logline, outline, beat sheet, draft, read-aloud pass, cut pass. It explains the two-column audio-visual script format, writing for voiceover versus on-camera delivery, writing captions and on-screen text, writing to be edited, and the rules of spoken-word rhythm. Script templates are supplied for the five most common formats (talking head, voiceover documentary, tutorial, interview, and narrative short) in DOCX and PDF, each with a completed example.
Part Four, Idea Development, gives a 5-stage system (collect, combine, qualify, angle, commit) with 7 ideation frameworks, an idea bank template, an idea scoring matrix that rates concepts on audience fit, feasibility, originality, and shareability, and a 30-day idea generation routine. The blueprint closes with 30 worked examples in which an ordinary idea is developed, structured, and scripted on the page so the method can be seen end to end.
